What is Lloyds TSB ClickSafe?
Just as you would enter a PIN when you buy an item in person, Lloyds TSB ClickSafe offers you the same level of security when you buy on the Internet.
Lloyds TSB ClickSafe (also known as Verified by Visa and MasterCard SecureCode) allows you to choose a personal password to confirm your identity when you buy online at participating retailers. ClickSafe is free, easy to use and gives you extra security when you buy online using your Lloyds TSB Debit, Credit and Charge cards.
Please remember to never tell anyone your PIN, including bank staff and the police.
Why is it happening?
Online shopping is becoming an increasingly popular way to buy goods and services. Lloyds TSB ClickSafe has been created to give you additional protection against card crime when you buy online.
How does it work?
- Once you’ve registered your card, every time you buy online from a Verified by Visa retailer you’ll see a summary box as part of the checkout process.
- The summary box includes details of your order as well as your login name and personal message.
- If this information is correct, simply approve the purchase by adding your personal password and pressing ‘submit’.
- Your identity is then verified and the purchase is secure.
To ensure your card is fully protected and to stay one step ahead of fraudsters, you must register your card(s).You’ll be given a limited number of opportunities to register when you make a purchase online. After that, we’ll ask you to register before making any further online purchases with your card.
When you activate Lloyds TSB ClickSafe, please note that the business owner remains responsible for your use of the card and the service.
How do I register?
1. You can register using the link below. You will be asked to set up your own unique password. When you use your card to pay at participating stores, you'll then be asked for your Personal Password to confirm the card is yours. We will check your Personal Password is correct before allowing you to progress with your purchase.
You will also be asked to set up a Personal Message. The Personal Message is unique to you and will appear each time you use Lloyds TSB ClickSafe at a participating online store. This is a security feature to help protect your card when you purchase online.
You can also set up a Login Name so that you can use the Personal Account Manager facility which allows you to view purchases made using Lloyds TSB ClickSafe and manage your Lloyds TSB ClickSafe account.

2. You can also register when you're buying online at participating online stores. Simply look for the prompt given by the retailer. Your Login Name and Personal Message will be set automatically (you can change them through your Personal Account Manager which we suggest you do straightaway), and you will also be asked to create your own Personal Password which you will need when you make purchases in future.
Already registered?
If you are already registered with Lloyds TSB ClickSafe you can access your ClickSafe account via the Personal Account Manager.
If you would like to add another Lloyds TSB card to your ClickSafe account we suggest you do this through your Personal Account Manager to ensure you only have one ClickSafe account for all your Lloyds TSB cards.
