Features & Benefits of School Bank Accounts

Whether you’re raising funds for a charity, responsible for church finances, or in charge of club or society subscriptions, this is the account for you.

Our Treasurer's account won’t cost you a penny. That’s because we don’t make any charges so all day-to-day debit and credit entries are free. All we ask is that you keep your account within agreed limits, like not going overdrawn without agreeing it with us first.

If you apply for additional services such as BACS, Direct debit and Bulk Payments to pay suppliers or wages and salaries you may be charged to use these.

Details of these services and charges can be provided by your relationship manager.

  • No charges on day-to-day debit and credit entries – all we ask is that you operate your account within agreed limits, for example
not going overdrawn without prior agreement.
  • Credit interest is not paid on this account.
  • No minimum amount is required to open a Treasurer's account with us.
  • No notice is required to withdraw funds.
  • Arrange to have a second signatory on the account.
  • Direct debits and standing orders can be set up quickly and easily.
  • Free monthly statements so you can regularly monitor your funds.
  • Free presentation cheques for when you want to make a large donation or award a major prize.
  • Free coin bags for those important piles of change.

And if you want to talk about the best way of managing your organisation’s finances, you can make use of your relationship manager’s knowledge and experience of community banking. Our relationship managers can also help you:

  • manage your cashflow,
  • borrow and save money,
  • find an insurance package to protect your organisation's assets.

Bigger not-for-profit organisations with turnover in excess of £50,000 don’t have to incur high charges. Talk to us and find out whether your organisation is eligible for a lower tariff structure than our standard business rates.
