The Lloyds TSB Foundations form one of the UK's largest independent grant-making trusts.  Their main aim is to support community-based charities that help disadvantaged people to play a fuller role in the community.

Charity of the Year

Lloyds TSB staff are passionate about working closely with the communities around us. In 2008 our staff voted British Heart Foundation as their ‘Charity of the Year’, a relationship which will run until June 2010, and pledged to raise in excess of £2 million.

'Bank an Hour' from Lloyds TSB Commercial

As well as fundraising for British Heart Foundation, Lloyds TSB Commercial staff will be making a real difference in the communities in which they live and work. Our staff will be giving their time to voluntary projects across the country, and we have a goal of 50,000 donated hours by the end of the year. We’ll be supporting many different projects across the country, for example:

• Community environmental work – Clearing vegetation, putting up fences, installing steps and pathways, clearing rubbish from riverbanks and beaches etc.
• Producing educational materials – Newsletters, mentoring sixth form students, helping with adult literacy programmes, bookkeeping, helping with the business and strategic plans of community projects.
• Garden maintenance – Tidying, renovating and maintaining gardens for charitable organisations.
• Garden landscaping – Creating sensory, wildlife or environmental gardens.
• Interior and exterior decorating – Makeovers and repairs of local community centres, playgroups, sports clubs and care homes.
